Reiki is a Japanese word for “universal life energy”. We are all connected to this energy from birth, it is the energy of our aura that enables every form of growth and healing processes. At the beginning of the last century, the Japanese Doctor Mikao Usui recultivated an old healing method that enables us to experience our hands as a medium for the transmission of life energy. He called this “system of natural healing” Reiki.
Reiki is a form of meditation that involves the massage therapist and the recipient. The flow of energy in the aura is increased and blockages are released. If the energy flows unobstructed, the body is healthy and balanced. Reiki does not contradict conventional medicine, but can support and supplement it and is also used as therapy by some doctors and naturopaths. Reiki can be enjoyed purely as an energy transfer, or supplemented by a wellness massage, which additionally supports the flow of energy in the body.
